Welcome! My name is Cheryl Cantrell. I was born and raised in upstate SC. I received my BA in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Clemson University in 2002. Following this, I received my MA in Professional Mental Health counseling from Webster University in 2007. I am licensed in the states of SC, GA, and Missouri (Licensed Professional Counselor – LPC). I am also registered to provide teletherapy to all citizens of Florida. I have worked as a counselor for over 17 years and have provided telehealth services for the last 5 years.
My specialty is working with people who struggle with anxiety and depression. I have extensive experience in crisis intervention. I have real life experience with LGBTQIA+ and alternative relationship styles (e.g. polyamory and other forms of non-monogamy) and implement that experience into my counseling for those that need extra support. I’m open minded and non-judgmental and look forward to working with you no matter what the concern.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my chosen family and my animals. I also enjoy playing board games, roller skating, and reading.
